Child and Youth Therapy
Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)
Cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) is a widely used evidence-based treatment approach that focuses on identifying and changing negative thought patterns and behaviours. By addressing the connection between thoughts, feelings, and behaviours, CBT helps children & youth develop coping strategies to manage challenges more effectively.
Play-based Therapy
Play-based therapy is a form of intervention that uses play to help individuals, typically children, express their thoughts, feelings, and experiences. Lynde uses play-based techniques combined with cognitive behavioural therapy to help children manage their feelings, and develop regulation and coping skills.
Psychoeducational Assessment
A psychoeducational assessment evaluates an individual's cognitive abilities, academic skills, social-emotional functioning, and overall psychological well-being. This comprehensive assessment involves standardized tests, interviews, observations, and review of records to identify any learning difficulties, attention issues, emotional concerns, or developmental delays that may be impacting the individual's learning and daily functioning. The results of the assessment provide valuable insights to guide intervention strategies, support academic planning, and promote overall well-being.
